Designers, artisans and craftspeople sell their products worldwide on the online platform Etsy. Merchandise worth almost EUR 2 billion changes hands via this marketplace annually, the majority in North America but increasingly beyond as well. Europe, Japan and Australia offer substantial growth potential for expansion. But despite its size, Etsy’s site has maintained the natural charm of a traditional art and crafts market, an image both appreciated and cultivated by its loyal community. Etsy is listed on the NASDAQ and at the New York Stock Exchange since April 2015.
