The UAM Media Group is the pioneer of local out-of-home advertising and brand marketing in Germany. Starting up in the early 90ies as Edgar Medien AG, UAM offered display marketing and the Edgar-Freecards, advertising postcards and posters adressing young target groups in specific locations like restaurants, bars, cinemas or schools.

By integrating new media channels, UAM extended its portfolio to local out-of-home products at the point of sale (POS) in Germany and markets a nationwide network of digital screens for local and regional advertisers. In 2017 Ströer Group – a leading multi-channel media company in Europe – acquired a majority stake and renamed the company Edgar Ambient Media Group GmbH in 2019 as a reference to the early days.
