Joseph Hefele

Joseph joined Acton’s investment team in 2020. He brings a deep passion for numbers and a profound curiosity for business models in all shapes and colours. Combining a generalist’s mindset with a passion for tech, his interest spans across sectors, functions, and geographies. When looking at a company’s aspirational vision and its hard performance metrics, Joseph has a remarkable ability to identify strategic twists that can unlock further value.

Joseph gained experience from his previous responsibilities at Google, where he supported leading European retailers to shape their digital strategies. He holds degrees from the University of St. Gallen, Columbia University and Hertie School of Governance. By creating the knowledge community Emerald Nodes, Joseph started a platform to facilitate interdisciplinary exchanges in tech business, and policy across both sides of the Atlantic.

He likes to spend his free time hiking in the mountains, reading up on recent developments in the tech space and world politics. Born and raised close to the alps, he lived in New York, Bangkok, Hamburg and Berlin before he finally returned to Munich.
